Robert Nesta Marley was born on Feb 1945 in a small village of nine mile in the saint Ann parish. Bob Marley was face with racial discrimination as a young child because his father was a white English Jamaican and mother was a black Jamaican, but a perfect quote by bob Marley reflecting on his mix racial orgins.
"I don't have prejudice against meself. My father was a white and my mother was black. Them call me half-caste or whatever. Me don't dip on nobody's side. Me don't dip on the black man's side nor the white man's side. Me dip on God's side, the one who create me and cause me to come from black and white"
Bob Marley religion was Rastafarian whose culture was tied to reggae a type of music that bob Marley played with a group called the wailers. the Exodus album that the produced was voted the #1 album in the 20th century. Marley was a deeply religious Rastafarian and there is nothing wrong with that ...but his love for his religion also could have killed him also. Marley had a malignant melanoma caused by a broadcaster on his right toe.. Marley could have had his toe amputated but it was against his religion Rastafarian's believed the body had to be "whole" Marley sought for voodoo type of treatment but the didn't work and 3 year later Marley died that last words were to his son.."money cant buy life".
